Un encuentro artístico en el tiempo. Tras su misteriosa desaparición, el mismo artista realizó una copia que sustituyó a la obra original, y que —especulando— bien podría inaugurar una categoría de copia maestra en la Colección del Museo donde se incluyan piezas artísticas presentadas como originales, pero que en realidad no lo son. Su correo electrónico termina diciendo: “Cada día se empezará de nuevo sobre la base del día anterior” Y si bien esta frase corresponde a una descripción, a la de la pieza performativa que realizará todo el tiempo hablando y escribiendo en una pizarra, cuando vuelvo a leerla tengo la sensación de que todas las obras que se condensan aquí surgen de esta máxima, repetida indefectiblemente y constantemente cada mañana cuando se levanta. Esta idea, que no sé si es cierta, no he querido contrastarla con él. Sería muy fácil mandar un mensaje o hacer una llamada y en cinco minutos quedaría la duda resuelta. Imagino al científico, entre extasiado y curioso, mirando ese primer cielo plagado de los primeros cuerpos celestes. Pero ¿cuánto ha tardado la luz de ese inicio en llegar al objetivo de la cámara del telescopio Hubble, para poder activar el proceso de percepción, de registro sensible de su software, y activar el proceso de creación de la imagen? Sigo leyendo, y dice “La imagen se conoce como Campo Ultra Profundo del Hubble: requirió de un montaje de diversas tomas hechas día a día durante más de un año…” &nbsp; Un montaje… “combinación de las diversas partes de un todo” versus “aquello que solo aparentemente corresponde a la verdad” (en el Diccionario de la Real Academia de la Lengua Española). Todas las imágenes que Jaime está presentando son un montaje. Son capas y capas de recortes de un archivo vital sobre el que ha decidido volver una y otra vez. ¿En qué momento se deja de buscar en los cajones un cuaderno más con anotaciones y listas de cosas ya tachadas porque ya están hechas, o con cuentas que a lo mejor significan mucho pero también puede que sólo fueran un ejercicio de un libro de matemáticas, un dibujo infantil o una mancha de chocolate? ¿Cuándo se decide recortar, mezclar y recomponer? Las miro y me recuerdan a los diagramas de Mark Lombardi, estructuras narrativas que a través de dibujos y resúmenes, y desde una profesión tangencial en el mundo del arte, llegó a plasmar las interacciones económicas y políticas no explícitas del siglo XX. Al acercarme, lo que antes parecía una frase entre borrones, se revela como un conjunto de palabras ilegibles. Esperaba encontrar un sentido en la lógica de un lenguaje que suponía reconocer, pero es imposible. Pero la percepción no deja de poner en marcha la memoria. Freud hablaba de la psique como un bloc mágico, todo se registra pero también desaparece y puede tornarse ilegible. Derrida, a través de este concepto, explicó la “fiebre del archivo”, en última instancia, una necesidad de borrar todo lugar de consignación de significado. Pero si no puedo leerlo, quizá puedo recordarlo, pero no escribirlo. Quizá solo queda hacer mucho ruido, chillar muy alto porque la lógica de la lógica no aparece y entonces detrás de esas imágenes se escondería el libro en blanco. Y en esta actividad frenética, desde una pulsión optimista de búsqueda de nuevas formas de aprehensión y relación, lo que nos resta para seguir donde lo dejamos, no sabemos si en el principio de los tiempos, son “5 ó 6 piezas grandes, unas 6 en formato A4 y unas 2 en formato A3”. El artista hizo una explicación pública de su trabajo consistente en un recorrido por las distintas piezas de la muestra, activando diversas estrategias para hacer más eficaz la relación entre el que hace y el que mira. XXI La enciclopedia como herramienta de organización del saber humano nace a mediados de 1700 y podemos decir que alcanza su cumbre al final del siglo pasado, entre los años 50 y 80 en los que no hay una casa que no tenga una híper acumulación de enciclopedias. Era el símbolo y síntesis del conocimiento humano. Todo el conocimiento tiende a ser dividido en especialidades que se consideran "por natura" separadas unas de otras y, aunque se intentan tender puentes entre unas áreas, el resultado suele ser tachado de inconsistente o incoherente por no ser capaz de englobar las disciplinas en un todo. La Enciclopedia Contemporánea del Azar consiste en una instalación formada por series de libros que crean una enciclopedia única reorganizada a base de libros de saldo, libros abandonados y libros olvidados. Lo que propone Vallaure es una azarosa combinatoria de materias que provoca un nuevo tipo de conocimiento asociativo. Se pretende con ello generar nuevas e impensables maneras de establecer conexiones entre saberes distintos, entre compartimentos tradicionalmente estancos y ver y analizar lo que sale de ahí. Así pues esta exposición se concibio como una instalación resultante de un proceso de arte de acción editorial. Su organización por secciones plantea que el acercamiento a los distintos saberes es muy distinto y esto en general no se tiene presente, al menos de forma consciente. El tema elegido, la sección, marca el punto de partida de la lectura. Cuando se habla, por ejemplo, de “Mecánica” (Sección 07) se ha de leer desde esa perspectiva, de lo que se pone mecánicamente en marcha, los engranajes, el movimiento, la funcionalidad, el reposo y su evolución en el tiempo. Para disfrutar o ver el trabajo es imprescindible hojear los libros; para hojear un libro el tiempo que se necesita es diferente al tiempo de ver una exposición en una galería. El tiempo de la biblioteca es diferente al tiempo de la galería. Hojear implica sentarse, dedicar un tiempo a manipular un objeto, estimular una secuencia. Mientras duró la exposición, el supuesto bibliotecario, en este caso Vallaure, realizó su trabajo “bibliográfico”, de investigación creativa, recuperando todo ese material inservible y dándole una segunda oportunidad. Es aquí donde entra en juego el azar, el que confiere sentido a la obra. El azar está en los libros que se hallan, pero también en la mezcla que se hace; en ese sentido es un azar dirigido u orientado, que enfrenta dos entidades a priori separadas. La unión de compartimentos estancos enfrentados siempre desconcierta. Y es desde ese desconcierto donde se configura una nueva estructura que permite establecer una nueva visión del conocimiento y más allá de lo que entendemos por cultura. <img width="1024" height="722" En el tiempo es la repetición insistente de un dibujo desde 2013 a 2018, hacer una y otra vez el mismo dibujo intentando que siempre sea igual. Una imagen de Freud mayor y enfermo con una mirada triste pero contenida. En el espacio se desdobla en una exposición con los dibujos en "Dosparedesy1puente" y una acción-recorrido, en el exterior y en el interior del espacio que indaga en la obsesión de la repetición, como búsqueda de algo que está y que no se ve, que es latente. Como colofón un libro que muestra los primeros 103 dibujos tan similares y tan profundamente diferentes al mismo tiempo.
